EVERGREEN embodies the spirit of Kim Yun-kyung, the Korean scholar whose pen name was Hangyeol (‘Evergreen’).
EVERGREEN aims to mature emotionally rich and knowledgeable students who possess both liberal arts and natural science skills.
EVERGREEN house promotes building true inner values and help students become leaders who can actually carry out such values in their daily and academic lives.

Wonchul House, named after Wonchul Lee, the first Korean to earn Sc.D and discover star 99503LeeWonchul, encourages students to share their talents and enthusiasm with all other members of students.

UNDERWOOD HOUSE
The Spirit of pioneering and sharing
UNDERWOOD House follows after the frontier spirit and the value of sharing by Underwood missionary, the founder of 'Yonhee'
UNDERWOOD actively promotes creative capacity of students and the value of sharing within Yonsei and fellow local community members.
UNDERWOOD runs a series of progressive and creative "Under a tree" initiatives such as "Study under a tree", "Gathering under a tree" and etc, which all intend to help students appreciate the value of RC community life through unique house programs.
UNDERWOOD respects each individual's personal characteristics and seeks harmony within a community at the same time.

YUN DONG JOO HOUSE
Form a strong sense of belonging like family and pursues cultural and artistic sensitivity.
Yun Dong Joo House is named after an upright poet Yun Dong Joo. Yun Dong Joo graduated from Yonsei University and is highly known for his noble personal characteristics as he dared to speak the truth and reflected himself against the ruling paradigm during the Japanese colonial era.
Yun Dong Joo provides an opportunity for students to develop their communication skills to a higher level and to acquire a sense of servant Leadership.

MUAK HOUSE
A house that unites as ‘one’ by learning, accepting challenges and accompanied growths
Muak House was named after the Muak Mountain located in Sinchon so that students can grow up to be flexible and stable like a mountain
Creates family-bondings where students can become friends forever through the RC community
Students can learn from various curricular and extra-curricular activities, and mature to be independent and autonomous individuals within their community.
Students can set the goals for their 1st year in college and work hard to achieve their goals.

CHI WON HOUSE

Servant Leadership
Become servant leaders that serve in the central axis of society, just as Baekyangro acts as the central axis of Sinchon campus as the symbol of Yonsei

AVISON HOUSE
A house that nurtures the spirits of learning, practice and sharing
House that commemorates life and spirit of Dr. Avison, who brought about great leaps within Yonsei through education during the 42 years that he spent in Korea as a missionary.
Aims: a cultured person who handles one’s lifestyle and learning, carries plans into actions, and cares for one’s community
Action agenda: 1. Greetings to one another, 2. Autonomous lifestyle, 3. Consideration for others

Through the dedicated support of Residential Assistants and a variety of programs, we help you achieve academic success and social fulfilment.
As one of two dedicated international houses at Yonsei University, our programs are designed to help our members learn more about each other’s cultures whilst also creating a sense of community and a home away from home at Yonsei.
