아펜젤러 하우스) A Sweet Taste of Appreciation , <Tiramisu Lab>

Despite food often being perceived as fuel, it always carries a deeper meaning behind it. It may have cultural significance, a fascinating creation story, or simply reflect someone’s effort. Therefore, to show appreciation for food as something more than just what is served on a plate, Appenzeller House hosted a “Tiramisu Lab” program for its RC students.

Conducted on May 11th, the Tiramisu Lab taught Zellers the techniques of creating a classic Italian dessert, from the cookie base foundation to the final decoration steps. By preparing the dessert from scratch, students realized the effort required to create something that seems simple, yet is still complex. The program’s purpose was not only to provide a master class, but also to leave a long-lasting message.

One RC student shared: “Now I not only know how tiramisu is made, but also understand the effort my mother puts into cooking for our family.”
